QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"Bread," adapted from Charlei G. Norris'i well-known novel of the i»m« name, ii being screened to-day at the Queen's Theatre. It is portrayed by an all-star cast, including Mac Buach, Pat O'Malley, Hobait Boaworth, Wanda Hawley, Robert Fraier. Myrtle Steadman, and Ward Crane. "Bread" is, an absorbing story which has lost nothing in action and human interest by its transfer to the silver sheet. It deals fearlessly and vigorously with the struggle .for _ existence which besets so many lives in the slums of big cities, and show* vividly the merciless powers which are at work to prevent, the poorer classes from ever rising from their sordid environments. It is rich in dramatic situation!*, and the acting in such excellent hnnds has brought out its power and strength to the fullest extent. There is an excellent supporting programme, which is enhanced by the music of the Queeri'B Orchestra.
