(RECITER'S TELEGRAM.)

WASHINGTON, 29th Jan.

King George has scut to President Coolidge a cablegram praising the crew of the American liner President Iloosovolt ior rescuing in an Atlantic gale all hands of I'>i British freighter ■Antinoe, and expressing regret that two of the rescuing forco lost their lives. In reply, President Coolidge cabled: "The eveut is but another illustration of the heroism and gallantry which have. c'-aracterißcd alike the mariners of the United States and Great Bri.tain."

The King asked the President to assure the bereaved families of the lost sailors of his heartfelt sympathy.
