LLOYD GEORGE ALLUSION
TO THE MONO CHANGE-OVER
BITTERLY RESENTED BY JEWS,
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COMRIOHT.) (AVJSTRALIAN.NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 29th January..
According to the "Daily Herald," Mr. Lloyd George's reference to Sir Alfred Monti, "Like another notorious member of his race, he has gone to his own place," has caused bitter resentment amongst the Jews. In the "Jewish Chronicle" to-day an editorial says: "It is merely a piece of rude ruggedness for a man of Mr. Lloyd George's eminence to compare to the disciple who betrayed his Master one who a few days ago he. would have thought it fitting, had it suited his political purpose, to beslaver with the ripe unetuousness of which the ex-Prime Minister appears to possess so-unlimited a supply."
