WARM AND HUMID
A CHANGE TO FOLLOW,
Although conditions have at times been threatening, the weather locally has continued fine.. Tho official report to-day, however, indicates that the fine spell is likely to be broken in tho near future. With the approach of a westerly low pressure area, the barometer has fallen considerably in the south, and freshening northerly winds have been experienced. The weather generally has been fair to cloudy, with high temperatures recorded in most parts. Warning signals for northerly gales are now exhibited at stations in the north, and for westerly gales at various ntations between-Castlepoint and Nugget Point. Generally the winds are expected to increase in force, :no?therlies prevailing and backing to W'jstterlies southward of Napier and New 'Plymouth. Warm and humid weather —sultry in the East Coast districts—is likely to continue, with rain probable in the West Coast and southern districts. A change may follow, and there is a probability of electrical disturbances taking place.
