SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Mrs. R. Fildcs provided a concert of merit at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. The performers were: Mesdames Anderson, Savage, and Ironside, Misses Wild, K. Hume, L. Thompson, N. Fildes, L. Rastall, Messrs. Savage, Reynolds, Buckley, Rio.<lan, and Master Stewart. Mrs. P. Fildes, Misses Wild, E. Thompson, and Mr. Savage were at tho piano. "1 Can, I Can't" was the title ot Mr. J. Moore's temperance chat. Pledges followed. The prizes in the competition* <v.me from Misses Gilpin and Savage, and went to the Matatua, Norfolk, Cambridge, and Ruahine.
