The Union Company's ferry steamer Maori arrived in port almost two hours late this morning. The vessel left Lyttelton at the scheduled time for sailing, and after leaving Lyttelton Heads ran into strong north-east-erly winds, which continued throughout the remainder of the trip. She berthed at 8.40 a.m. EXCURSION TO PICTON. The Union Company's ferry steamer Wahine left Wellington shortly after 8 a.m. yesterday for Picton with over 1000 excursionists on board.
