LAW DEFEAT WELLINGTON

Au eleven representing the Law defeated a team from the Wellington Cricket Club at the Basin Koservo yesterday. Wellington had first use of tho wicket, but could only total 167 against good bowling by Cousins (three for 22), Hollings (two for 44), Ham (four for 20), and Tripe (one for 24). Law responded^ with 272, A. H. Hollings playing a dashing innings for 136. K. C. Jamps also shaped brightly for 45, and other scorers were Arndt (16), Whiteman (16 not out), Wiren (13), .and Haftna (10). O'Connor bowled well for Wellington, taking five wickets, while Jacobsen captured two, and Aitken, Burton, and Bruges one apiece.
