MARYLEBONE TEAM ON TOUR,

BARBADOES, 12th January.

In the Test match against the Mary- • lebono team, West Indies in the first innings made 147 (P. H. Tarilton 50, G. Challoner 63), C. F. Root took four wickets for 37 > runs, F. S. G. Calthorpe three for 11, and Boy Kilner two for 43. West Indies followed on, and in tho second innings has two wickets down for 12. Heavy rain during the night rendered the wicket unplayable.

The Marylebone team declared its first innings closed with eight wickets down for 597.
