NEW ZEALAND'S BIG SCORE.

CENTURIES BY OACRE AND

CRAWFORD

MAITLAND LUCITY TO SECURE A DRAW.

fITWTtB PHESS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIOHT.) SYDNEY, 12th January. For the second and final day of the match between New Zealand and Maitland district, the weather was fine and the wicket good. Crawford's fine innings made the second century in the match, and James, who batted well, was unlucky to miss his century. Maitland eommeneed their formidable task immediately after lunch, but disaster came early, Blunt getting two wickets at small cost. Cummins, Bell, and Moore made a fine stand, but with them out of the way the tail fell rapidly. Cummins was easily Maitland's best bat. Blunt had a day out, and was very difficult to play, and finished up with six wickets — five clean-bowled.
