PETONE-HUTT GAS BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Fctone and Lower H'utt Gas Lighting Board ■was held last evening. Present: Mr. W. G. Lodder (chairman), and Messrs. A. Anderson, J. Piper, C. P. Brockelbank, W. T. Strand, and W. Meldrum.

The Public Trustee advised that after Ist January the board would be paid V* per cent, increased interest on its sinking funds. Th gasworks manager (Mr. H. Appleyard) reported that 513 tons of coal had been carbonised, making 5,891,100 .cubic feet of gas, an average make of 11,477 cubic feet per ton, and a decreased make of 390,100 cubic feet as against December, 1924.
