THE EXHIBITION

SEVEN WEEKS' ATTENDANCE,

(BI mBORAPH.—PHESS AJSOCMTIOH.)'

DUNEDIN, This Day. Last night, the seventh week of the Exhibition concluded, with the magnificent total attendance record of 794,985. The attendance during the next week, too, is likely to be heavy, as to-morrow will begin two big popular attractions. These are the championship comjfetitions festival, for which entries have been received from all parts of the Dominion, and tho axeman's championship carnival, with the biggest prize money ever offered for such an event in New Zealand. All the well-known Dominion axemen and several from Australia will take part.

Messrs. ,W. S. Wilson and W. H. Nimino, the special delegates from Wellington in connection with the Wellington proposal to follow Dunedin's example, said: "Wo would like to take advantage of tho occasion to appeal to all people of tho Dominion, particularly those in the North Island, not to let the opportunity go by without visiting what is undoubtedly the best Exhibition yot held south of the Line. We were absolutely amazed at tlio colossal scalo on which it is planned, and the .splendid way in which it has been carried out. Press reports cannot possibly convey with adequacy tho vagtiiees of it's conception, tho great breadth of Dominion, nay international, spirit, in which it has been designed, and the amount of thought put into every detail.'''
