DUNEDIN, 4th January

A fire broke out in a china warehouse in MacLaggan street to-night, owned by Langley and Son. The outbreak was confined to the packingroom, where considerable damage was done. Tho brigade effected a good save. The insurances were not available, and Mr. Langley was unable to give an estimate of the damage. TAUMABTJNUI, 4th January. A fire completely destroyed a residence and its contents, belonging to a. Hikumutu settler, Mr.'A. H. Barker, r ,on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Barker and' his family were away at tho time of the outbreak.
