Aysonj Chief Inspector of New Zealand Government Fisheries, who has been in indifferent health for some time, has been recommended a complete rest, and will probably spend the leave granted him at Pembroke. The Rev. E. H. Catherwood, at present minister of tho KilbirnieLyall Bay Presbyterian Church, has accepted a call to Turakina, and is to be induptcd to the charge on 16th December. ,

Mr. B. B. T. Young, it is announced, has been selected as the second nominee of Victoria College for the Khode's Scholarship. Mr. Young is a graduate in science, and in addition to a. fine scholastic career, >he has a good sports record. He has been twice New Zealand University boxing champion in tho feather class. He. is a keen hockey player, ami has represented his University and tho Wellington province at tennis. Mr. J. O. J. Malfroy is tlio first nominee of Victoria College. .
