SMITHFIELD PRICES.

The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated 13th November, advising Sralthfleld delivered prices at tiiat date as follows:—

Other brands, Ist quality, 42 aud under, 10}id per lb. Seconds, lOVid per lb. New Zealand Beef.—Ox fores, 4Jd per lb; ox liinds, Od per lb. Argentine Chilled Beef.—Ox fores, sd; ox hinds, 7d.

The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has received the following advice from Its London office, under date 13th instant:—"There is little better demand for wethers. The market for ewes Is depressed Giving to absence of demand. The lamb market: is weaker for heavy weights. The beef market is depressed owing to heavy stocks of Aastralian. Wethers: Light, 7id to B%d per lb; heavy, 7d to 7%d per lb. Ewes, 5d to 6>/>d per lb. Lambs: Under 42's, lOd to 12d per lb; over 42's, 9y 2 d to lOd per lb; seconds, 10%d to ll^id per lb; Australian, lOd to 11 J,id per lb; Argentine, 10%d to ll^d per lb. Ox hinds, 4%d to sd; ox fores, 4yd to 4%d per lb." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its .London house, under date 13th instant: —"New Zealand Frozen Meat: Lamb, IOJd per lb (average); mutton, wether-and maiden ewe, light 7%d per lb, heavy 7"%d per lb',- ewe, light 5%d per lb; heavy, 5y 2 d per lb. Small demand."
