WORKING MEN'S CLUB
The following are now leading in this club's annual handicap chess tourney:—
Mr. T. Nolan is leading in the "Rosenberg" tourney, from, which Classes I. and 11. are barred. His soore it 9 clear wins, and he has two games to play. Mr. J. Martin is in second place, with 8 wins and 2 losses. It is with much pleasure that members are looking forward to next Saturday's annual match against the South Wellington Chess Club. This fixture dates back to 1905, the year in which the latter club was formed. Of the 18 matches played to date the Working Men's Club has won 10, South Wellington 6, and two have ended in e tie (1907 and 1923). ; • ■
