CHRISTCHURCH, 13th Nov. , A fine of £20 and costs was imposed today on Stanley John Prattley, an Ashburton carrier, -for recklessly driving a car past the Christchnrch Hospital yes : terdny afternoon; On a charge of being intoxicated while, in charge of a car, the Magistrate held that there was too great a conflict of evidenco to convict. Prattley was first arrested for speeding,' and was taken, to the police station for an intoxication test, which he passed successfully. Inside three hours ho was arrested again, in'Cathedral square, where his car had burst a tire and had suffered other damage. *
