WIfAKATANE. This Day. At the aunual meeting of shareholders of tho East Coast Co-operative l''reeziug Company yesterday, the prolit and loss account revealed a. loss of £6GU9 for the year. The annual report of the directors stated that after giving careful consideratiou to the conditions governing the meat export market aud the prospects of tho coming season, they had concluded that it would be unwise to recommend tho coutiuuanco of operations, aud they therefore ndvieed that the company's establishment be closed down, pending more favourable conditions. ■ On the motion of the chairman (Mr. J. G. Cliff M'CuHoeh), seconded by Ilr. W. O. Siier. ratt, the report and balance-sheet Were adopted. Messrs. M'Culloch, W. C. Roberts, A. C Sutherland, aud the Hon. J. B. Gow were re-elected directors.
