BASIN RESERVE CHARGES,
According to the programme of evening sports meetings which was drawn up recently the combined hairier clubs were to control a gathering at the Basin ReKervc nest Monday evening. It has been found, however, that the charges for the use of the ground, as well as rooms in the pavilion, are likely to make the burden of running the meeting too heavy and a decision has been made to hold the sports at Athletic Park. For the various events good entries have been received, those to take part including most of the local champions, as well a? many promising yoiing athletes.* There is no charge for admission to. these evening meetings, but a collection is taken up to help to defray expenses.
