There is little cause for complaint in the weather being experienced locally to-day, but, according to the Director of the Meteorological Office (Mr. D. C. Bates), "there is bad not far away." Atmospheric pressure is still low and unsteady in tlie South, and strong westerly to southerly winds have predominated The weather has been changeable and showery generally on all the western coast and in the southern districts, and a continuance of these conditions is likely. Warnings for westerly gales are exhibited at all the usual light-house stations. Rain is probable especially along the western coast, and in the southern districts. The barometer is unsteady, likely to fall further and then rise rapidly.
