SAVAVE CLUB ORCHESTRA
The Wellington musical public have few opportunities of hearing the oralioßtra of. "the Wellington Savage Club, and in response to many nttfnests a public, concert i 8 to bo given this evening in the Concert Cham her of tho Town Hall. As the progrmuine is. to bo of a popular nature i,t is. anticipated .that there will be a large attendance. Tho orchestra will be assisted by Mr. Harison Cook, who will sing "The Song of the Volga , Boatmen "-and "Serenade," from "Faust," both numbers with full accompaniment. Amongst the orchestral items arc "Stradella-Overture" (Flotow), "Slavonic Rhapsody" (E'riedman), "Nell Gwynno Dances," German number;; from ' tho "Faust" ballets (Gounod), and selections from tho "Gondoliers" (Gilbert and Sullivan). Mr. Prank Thomas .will conduct. Tickets arc obtainable from The Bristol, where seats may be reserved. '
