TEST AT LAW THREATENED.

AUCKLAND, This Day.
The Education Board dismissed a let; tor from the executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute, notifying its intention to test at law the granting of preference to a married teacher, or to make married men teachers to the disadvantage of women applicants. Mr. King suggested a' conference b.etwesn the institute and the boards, arid expressed a desire to avoid litigation. Mr.-Sncll said that after the age of twelve, boys required the discipline of a married man. •' Mrs. Fewer suggested there might be cases where preference should be given women teacher's. • '
