IN STORE AND HOUSE
TWO YOUTHS COMMITTED FOR
SENTENCE.
.Two recent burglaries were investigated at the Magistrate's Court today, vhun Roy George Cudby and Mervyn John' Cudby were charged with breaking-into Hazel.vood'a store at Upper Hutt, and into a residence in Normunby street^ Wellington.' In regard to the first charge, the manager of Hazelwood's said at 8 a.m. on 23th October he found that tho store had been, eutered from tho rear during the night. General stock to the value of £46 13s had been taken, ajul in.addition, the cash register had been smashed, and an attempt had been made to remove tho sat':;. The stolen property was recovered later.
The complainant in the second case was Daisy" Barr, who said that she left her home at 10.30 a.m. oil 29ph October and when she returned at 10.30 p.m. found that her bedroom had been ransacked aud jewellery to the value of £26 was missing. Her property had been recovered.
Both tho accused pleaded guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
