SECONDARY SCHOOLS' CHAMPION SHIPS.
The leading athletes of the various secondary schools in Wellington and Wairarapa are. preparing ior the fourth annual amateur athletic championships, which are to be decided at Athletic Park on Saturday week. Judging by the form being shown by the young athletes some,fine performances should be recorded. Boys will be competing from the seven city secondary .schools, as well as the Wairarapa High 'School. For the purpose of the inter-college competitions, contestants are divided into three classes —junior, intermediate, and senior (junior, under 14£- years on Ist October; intermediate, under 16 years on Ist October; and senior, under ■20 years on Ist October). The champion- »>"■> shield, presented by Dr. M'Evedy, is at present held by Wellington College. .
