A .young cow found dead in a field at Child Okeford, Dorset, was sent to the neighbouring limit kennels. An adder 18iu long wilts found in the animal's stomach. The reptile .-was swallowed whole, and there was evidence that while yet alive, the adder caused internal injuries which brought about death. It is Kili-niisod that the cow gWullowed the adder when drinking.
