James M' Council, aged 43, a printer, who arrived from New Zealand three days ago, was found near Coogee with a. fractured skull and other injuries. He is in -hospital and is in a serious state and unable to give an account of how he received the injuries. Ho is believed to be the victim of a' brutal assault.
