BIG SHOW ATTRACTION.
One of the many attractions at the Paltnerston North Show is Apdale's amazing animal .Circus, with its sixty performing animals. Monkey trick cyclists, monkey musicians, monkey acrobats and contortionists, clever clogs doing all the latest dances. "Muts," the big baboon, who is almost human, has toured the world, showing in most of the principal theatres. - Bears and a host of other animals help to make a clover and attractive programme. Each performance concludes with a sensational chariot race, in which dogs harnessed to chariots are driven by monkeys at breakneck speed round the arena. ,Th}s turn is most exciting.' / "Patsy," who plays the comedy part, has never yet been defeated, but as the race is not run under strict racing rules, his underhand tactics are excusable.
Mr. Apdale carries his own big jazz band, and all the turns are played to music.—Advt.
