The Dmicdiii war memorial, the proKress in the construction of which has been somewhat delayed, states tho "O(as,'o Daily Times," is now assuming substantial form. The marble sheathing is in place for about 20ft abovo the base, and the ornamental panels are at present being carved. The contractor, Mr. I[. S. Bingluiin, staled on Tuesday that now tho completion of contracts in connection with the Exhibition was in sight, he would have available a larger stall' to cope with the work. The- difficulty of procuring the services of stone masons bad been anotbrr factor in retarding the speedy completion of the work.
