PARIS, 27th October. M. Briand informed the League Council that he was still awaiting definite replies from Greece and Bulgaria regarding the frontier dispute. The Greek delegate read a telegram stating that Greece was endeavouring to reach an agreement in conformity with the League's opinion. M. Briand declared the explanation unsatisfactory, and said, instant withdrawal was essential.
Mr. Austin Chamberlain questioned the Greek delegate, who admitted that ' hile the Bulgars had penetrated Greek territory f0r.500 or 600 yards the Greeks had penetrated Bulgaria for five miles.
ATTACHES TO VISIT THE FRONTIER
(REUTERS TELEGRAM.) 1 PARIS, 27th October. • It is learned that in accordance with the decision of the League Council a> British military attache is.going from Athens to the scene of the conflict, and that French and Italian attaches also are going.
