,St. Mark's Troop has arranged to camp again at Paraparaumu this year. .Fourteen boys recently qualified for second-class and fifteen are now preparing for. first-class. ' Patrol' Loader Wills passed his handyman's test. It is not too soon to be thinking of camping, 'anil wise Scouts are aY ready preparing by studying budge subjects which will help-them in camp. Three which should hot be overlooked arc Handyman, Woodworker, and Cook. The Scout with such knowledge is , always useful in camp. , The formation of a, troop of Scouts at Johusonyille, iitfcirhcd to the -local Church of England, is likely to bo effected at once. A meeting to make- the .necessary ■arrangements will he held on Tuesday next,-when the Commissioner and.District Secretary will bo present. •

Kahvarra Troop'proposes to camp at Hukajiui, near Kketahuna, at Christmas time. The work oi: the troop is progressing -'well.

Tho sale :of tickets for the recent display evidently went well, but until all Scouts account for sales the final figures cannot bo arrived at.' To date three troops have paid in £3(j Is 6d. .... ,■';..

■St. .Thomas's Troop is about to launch a Cup Puck with Mr. L. F. Morris as Cub-master.

If sufficient local support is forthcoming a troop will shortly be started at Seatoun. A, trained scoutmaster aiid assistant are in sight. Badge examinations will be held'as follow:—Master-at-Arms , (Captain Duffy), V.M.C.A. Gym., Tuesday, 10th November; pathfinder (Mr. Lawson), The Den, Thursday, 12th November; clerk (Mr. Lawson), secretary's office. Tuesday, 17th November.
