The "Central News" Paris-correspond dent states that the financial crisis -has. reached an acute stage, and the Cabinet's position is critical.
The Paris correspondent of .the "Daily Express" states that the crisis is duo to the inflation policy of M. -Caillaux, who is accused iof trying to become a financial Mussolini. He will probably resign on Monday. If ho does not, the Government is likely to -bo defeated later in the week iby the supporters of a capital lovy.
The "Daily Herald's" iparis correspondent dtates : "The failure of .the recent gold conversion loan, which realised only sixty millions sterling, instead of three hundred millions, together with the. breakdown of the Washington Debt Conference, has given INF. Caillaux's enemies a .weapon. M. .Caillaux is destined to fall, as all his predecessors have fallen. Nevertheless, in default of a real .capital.-levy, which even tho Radicals arc (ifraid of introducing, further inflation is iuiporative."
LONDON, 24th October. The .exchange- on Paris is now 116.85 francs "to the £1.
