ATHLETIC SPORTS CLUB
The Athletic Football Sports Club hold its annual meeting on Thursday, Mr. A. W. o.' Travcrs occupying the ' chair. In moving the adoption of the report and bal-ance-sheet, details, of which have been published in "The Post," the chairman touched on tho question of distribution of champions amongst tho various clubs. Ho contended that if all the champions who came to Wellington joined up with the one club, then the other clubs had little chance of success in .such ovents as the folay contests for tho Downr Shield. Mr. Travors expressed a keen desire that tho proposed tour of the American athletes should eventuate. He personally hoped that the nest tour arranjjed would be one of British representatives. The speaker paid 11 tribute to the work of the club's secretary (Mr. J. A. Peterson). Tho report and balance-sheet wore adopted. Officers for the ensuing year wore elected as follow: Patron, Mr. G.
