With the object of inducing the'remainder of the crew of the Ceramio to join the strike, four hundred strikers marched to the steamer's side. Reinforcements of police were rushed to tlio scene, but the strikers made no attempt to board the steamer, and, after yelling intermittently for several hours, dispersed without attaining their objective.
