ATHENS, 23rd October
An official report at 1 a.m. states that the Bulgarians have received reinforcements at Dcmirkapou. The Greek command is making an encircling movement around Petristi witli a view to compelling the Bulgarians- to evacuate Greek territory. The fall, of Pebisti is imminent, tho Bulgarians stubbornly resisting.
A message at 4 in tho morning states that the Government stopped the advance- of tho Greek forces in consequenco of a report that the Bulgarians had evacuated Greek territory. The Greeks will retain the positions at present occupied until Bulgaria replies to the Greek Note. It is stated that Greece will abide by the demands embodied therein, and is not disposed to negotiate on any other basis.
