The following are among tho more serious of recent fatal accidents on tho French railway systems:—----1023. 4th Oct.—Paris-Strassburg- express collides with goods train—several killed and injured. 3rd iScpt,— Holiday train smashed in Pyrenees—2 killed, l-l injured. 13th Aug.—Boulogne express derailed at; Amiens—l 2 killed, 8(1 injured. ."Oth July—Le Mans-Paris express derailed at Tours—l(3 killed and 20 injured. 25th March.—Bordeaux-Paris express derailed near Poitiers:—s killed, • 23 injured. There have been twenty railway accidents in France since the commencement of the year with more or less serious results. 192-1.
7th .Nov.—Paris-Havre express derailed in tunnel near .Rouen —2 killed and several injured. 2-lth March.—O.stcml-Baslo express in collision near Metz —8 killed and 11 injured. 10th March. —Calais-lßiviera. express derailed near Lyons—4 killed (o British) and 25 injured (22 British). 10215.
19th Feb. — Paris-Nancy express wrecked ,'it Pont-a-Brusou—li! killed, 3(i injured. 1022."
Ist Aug.;— Express carrying pilgrims Iv Loiirrles in collision near Tarbes — od killed, 70 injured, 1921. sth Oct.—Paris suburban train in collision in Batijjiiollcs tunnel—2S killed.
