"GLORIOUS NEW ZEALAND"

A SPLENDID PICTURE,

"Sec New Zealand first" is advice which .may fairly be given to citizens of this, country—not onljr to those who contemplate a trip abroad but also to those who perhaps arc not in the fortunate position of being able to tour other lands, for, on the testimony of many who have toured the world, this country possesses not only a, fine, healthy climate, but also has scenery which is unrivalled. Its mountains, rivers, lakes, and extensive forests have been doscribed in glowing language by writters innumerable. "Glorious NewZealand," the lovely scenic and. motion picture now being shown at the Paramount Theatre, may be fairly said to bo a, splendid picture worthy of its subject. Although the Publicity Department prepared the picture, under instructions of the Government, for exhibition abroad, the scenes screened arc so varied, and beautiful that large numbers of' New Zcalanders will doubtless avail themselves of the opportunity of seeing this unique production. Tho views of the Southern Alps, the Southern iiords, and Bowcn Fall, the mountains and forest area in the Tongariro National Park, Mount Egmont, and the Hot Lakes district arc out- ■ standing features of the picture. There are also views of Stewart Island, our Antarctic territory (RossJand), and tropical scenes at Samoa, all of which lend an added variety to the views of the New Zealand mainland. The whaling, sword-fishing, hapuka-fishing moving pictures 'form an exciting change from the purely scenic, views. Tho variety is so great that it is impossible to even enumerate the list of features. There is also screened a picture of the wedding of the daughter of the Gover-nor-General at St. Paul's Pro-Cathe-dral this week.

The Publicity Department has received many ..congratulatory messages in regard to tho film, which is generally acknowledged as a great tribute to New Zealand's Eccmc wonders. Among the messages leceived were felicitations" from tho Prime Minister, the Minister of Education, and Mr. T. M. Wilfor'd..
