POLITICAL EYES AND CULPRITS
The assertion was made by Mr. E."J. Howard (Christchurch South) in the House of Representatives last night that tlJe Labour Department Was becoming of greater usa to the employers than to the workers. v .
The Minister of Labour (the Hon. G. J. Anderson): "The record does iiot show that." ■"'■■.■•' .
• "Our records show it," retorted Mr. Howard.' "The hon. Minister may not because he is blind in one eye." The' Chairman of Committees (Mr. J. A. Young): "I presume the hou. ,momber.is talking in a political sense." Mr. Howard :. "Yes, he is politically blind in one ■ eye—blind in his Labour eye. (Laughter,) , , ■ ; . /A little later the Lender of the Lab<sur, Party (Mr. H.'.E. Holland) declared /there was. a culprit on the Government benches who had introduced a certain clause without affording adequate opportunity for members to consider it;
