THE RIFFS' OBJECTIVE
A CORRESPONDENT'S REPORT.
(ABSrBALIAN-JiEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 3rd September.
The "Morning Post's" Paris correspondent states that. a special t correspondent to "Le Matin" penetrated to the headquarters of Abd-el-Krim, where he interviewed Mohamed, brother of Krim. Asked what the Riffs wanted, Mohamed said : "Full and complete independence. We will not talk peace until bur independence is recognised. We want to live free and govern ourselves. We will fight to the last man. We know that France and Spain have powerful armaments, but God will help us. Secondly, we have no desire for foreign police. We want France' to withdraw a little to the south in order that our frontier line, may run from Guezanis to Louloya. We want Spain to. reduce the territory occupied around Melilla. We are not receiving help from any foreign Power or political party."
