The latest development of the position is the issue by the solicitors of Walsh and Johnson of writs against Mr. Bavin, the former Attorney-General, claiming £5000 damages each for alleged slanderous utterances and, alleged slander in connection with certain remarks made by Mr. Bavin in public concerning Walsh and Johnson after the service of the Deportation Board's summonses upon them. ■•
