ALLEGED THEFT AND FORGERY.

William Kerr, on remand) was to-day charged that on or about 7th May, 1924, at Stratford, he did steal the sum of £350, thfe property of William Henry Barlow, and on the 2nd February, 1925, did steal the sum of £300, the property of the same.' Further, that on divers dates between sth July, 1923, -and 18th June, 1925, being.a servant of the Union Bank, he did-.steal, the. sum of ,£6063, the property of the bank, and'on or. about thelst day of June, 1925, did forge a cheque for £495 drawn on ,'the Union Bank in the name of a fictitious person, to wit, E. A. Simson, with intent that it should he acted upon as genuine; that on 7th July, 1924,. he did forge a cheque for £6003.15s 9d on the Union Bank in the name of a fictitious person (G.'-D. • Bell), with intent that it be acted upon as genuine.'
