A number of representatives of Lascar seamen was present at the resumed National Minority Conference at Batterssa. The meeting was chiefly devoted to diatribes. Mr. Harry Pollitt suggested that there were responsible trade unionists who were secretly glad of the unofficial seamen's strike, because Havelock Wilson had- broken the united front against the reductions of wages.
