MEETING IN SYDNEY DOMAIN
ME. WALSH SHOWS HIS COURAGE.
SYDNEY, 30th August. During the past week much propaganda work has been done to work up a great meeting in the Domain to-day, in support of the strikers. When the meeting was held, a small and uninteresting procession of 2000 seamen marched to tho Domain, headed by a band. They were addressed by union leaders. Mr. Tom Walsh, in his speech, said he came to the meeting to show Mr. Bruce he was not afraid of him. He characterised the shipowners as "a gang of commercial murderers," and urged the men not to budge from tho attitude they had adopted.
