"KID BOOTS."

The box plans for "Kid Boots'' aro now opened at The Bristol for the first six nights. According to tho majority of Australian contemporaries, "Kid Boots," the latest big musical comedy success of the J. 0. Williamson firm, is an exceptionally clever and brilliant entertainment, lavishly costumed, and sumptuously caparisoned. It is apparently also interpreted by an exceptional case, headed by those pronounced favourites, Miss Josie Melville and Mr. George Gee. Miss Adele Crane acts well, and has a voice of possibilities. Miss Jean Newcombe is a talented comedy actress, and in the part of Dr. Josephine Fitch, the hostess for the championship golf match, is particularly effective. The comedy side of the production is strengthened by the acting of Mr. George Crotty as the social observer of a New York paper. An especially good performance is that' of Mr. George Vollaire as Tom Sterling, both from a singing and 'acting point. Others who appear with much distinction in important parts are Messrs. Field Fisher, Gaston Mervale, Paul Plunkett, Jack Dunne, Percy le Fre, and Miss Gladys Hermes. On Wednesday week will be presented "Good Morning Dearie," a musical play of much merit, and also new to Wellington, with Josie Melville as Rose Marie, and George Gea as Steve Simmonds.
