PONEKE v. PONSONBY

The request from Auckland that the Poneke senior team should play a match with Ponsonby at Auckland on 10th October as a benefit for V. Badeley was considered.at a meeting of the Poneke Club this week. The feeling of the meeting was that the match should be played, particularly as the object was a worthy one, and it was decided to ascertain from all members whether they would be able to make the trip. A number of the seniors intimated at the meeting that they would be willing to go to Auckland.

It is understood that the Canterbury Paigby Union is also extending an invitation to the Poneke Club for its senior team to play a match with Old Boys at Christchurcb. •
