PEKIN, 28th August. ' Fighting has broken out at Canton and Tungshan against foreigners. In the residential suburb of Whampoa Cadets fired indiscriminately, and all are carrying arms. Military and police detachments are offering resistance and tho Chinese soldiers fired a few. shots at a Punjabi picket on British territory. The Punjabis retaliated, killing one Chinese, whose comrades sought out d revenge to attack the Takuling police station under cover of darkness. Th« police returned the fire, driving oft tht Chinese.

The police of Hong Kong have d» patched « Lewis gun and crew to Takuling.
