FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Levin and Co., ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 28th August:—"Frozen meat quotations (prices on a 'delivered' basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): Down lambs, 28-42's, HJd per lb; best North Island, 26-42's, lid per lb; ordinary North Island, MJd per lb; second quality lambs, ll\d per lb; best North Island wether sheep, -IS-G-l's, 7|d per lb; best North Island wether sheep, tii-72's, 7d per lb; ordinary North Island wether sheep, 48-04' a, 7id per lb; North Island ewes, 48-04's, sjd per lb; North Island ewes, (M-72'3, f>Jd per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef, 100----220's, 4Jd per lb. As compared with last week's quotations, the market for lamb and mutton is unchanged, with the exception of ewes, which arc Jd per lb dearer. Demand for mutton is' good, particularly for ewes."
