METHODIST BANQUET
The annual fither-and-»ou banquet m connection with the Wellington Methodist Bible Claes took place recently at the Methodist Church, Waited, road, Hataitai, nil* a very enjoyable evening vas spent. The catering was 6f the best, and the whole proceedings went off with a swing. Aft eJccellelit programme of toasts and items was submitted, the Rev. William Greenslade presiding, The toast-list was as follows :^-"Tlio King," "The Church," the Rev. G. I,- Laurenson, reply, the Rev. E. S. Emittitt; toast. "The Fathers," Mr. C.E. Gardiner, reply, the Rev. A. N. Scottcr; toast, "The Sons," the Rev. C. -Ba,ton, reply, Mr. Parr; recitation, Mr. A. .I 3, llorriaii; toast, "The B.C. Movement" (Wellington "Union), the Rev. William Grcenslade. reply, Mr. R. H. Boys ; toasf. "The Ladies." Mr. G. Turn'ey, reply, Mr. L. Swift; vote of thanks, Messrs. Edmonrl and Gardiner; prayer, the Ivcv. K. S. Enimitt; benediction, the Rev. Mr. Grecnslade.
