MOUNT COOK OLD SCHOLARS
A meeting of the Mount Cook. Old Scholars' Association v/as held in the schoolrooms, Taranaki street, on Thursday. Mr. Hyland presided over an attendance of about 150 members. The meeting was an enthusiastic one, and angered well for the- future of the association. Reference was made to the social and dance held on 12th August, and a hearty vote of thanks was pissed to the executive for its work m this connection., and also to those who gava their services free as performers and musicians. It was decided that, aa this is the jubilee year .of the MountCook Seiiools, a committee of old scholars meet the School Committee with a view to arranging a fitting celebration of this event. A number of new members were enrolled. Following the policy adopted by the association of having only live members on. its committee, tliree nmv .members were elected in place of members nnabln lo devote sufficient timp to. promoting (he cause of (lie aRf» ciation. In view of the fact that the last social a.ud dance was so successful, it was decided to "bold another such fun* tion early in September^
