PICTURES FOR DUNEDIN,

LONDON, 9th July. In response to an invitation from th« Government of New Zealand, the Royal Scottish Academy has organised a representative collection of works by living artists, which has been assembled in Edinburgh previous to shipment to Dwiedm for the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition.
Ihe lomga Office and Board of lrada, in London have been entrusted \uth the arrangement of the British section, but the Scottish representation lm been left entirely in the hands of the academy. The collection numbers 57 works m oil 47 water-colom, and 10 small pieces of sculpture in bronze Of" these, less than half a,re by members of the academy, the others having been invited from the younger Scottish artists. Ihe art of to-day north of the i weed is well represented, and the ex* mbit should prove of interest iv flew- , Zealand.
