FEDERATION'S ANNUAL MEED. ING.
The New Zealand Sheepfanners' ami Farmers' Federation held its fifteenth; annual meeting yesterday afternoon., Mr. H. 1). Acland presided.
The election of officers resulted:—* Mr. IT. D. Acland (Canterbury), reelected president; Mr. W. G. Sherratt (Gisborne), vice-president; Mr. 13. Hay (Canterbury), ro-electcd hon. treasurer} Mr. A. A. M'Kellar, re-elected auditor. The general council remains as it wns during the past season. Mr. D. I£< Nicholson was re-elected secretary. The roster of wool sales was brought' up by Messrs. W. G. Sherratt (Gisborne) and H. B. Williams (Tokomarn), who wished Gisborne included. It was pointed out that it was a big woolgrowing district, and that, if sales wet* held there, the wool could be shipped from that port, without the heavy. «x-. penses incurred in tending it to other, sales.
The suggestion found f»Tour, and th* following resolution ttrs carried: "Tliat the federation request the ■wool commit* tee to give careful consideration to thi roster of wool sales prepared by th* Woolbrokers' Association, and if th« suggested roster meets with the ap« proval of the committee that they tak«. steps to ensure that its provisions ar« complied with by the wool buyers."-
