CHARGES AGAINST A CLERK
m (BT TELEORAFB.—?RISB ASSOCIATION.) DANNEVIRKE, 25th August. Cyril Henry Osborn Lane, a clerk, formerly in the employ of the gas department of the Dannevirlte Borough Council, was to-day committed at the I Supreme Court for- trial on three charges of theft (the amounts totalling £16 odd), one charge of fraudulently omitting to account for gas used by him, and one charge of falsifying the gas consumers' ledger with intent to defraud. He was admitted to bail.
